Wire work is square and twisted gold creating a regal setting. Yellow Cat is famous for the agate-like appearance make it more like a gem grade agate than the striated and variegated colors of other Petrified Woods.

Yellow Cat Petrified Wood is famous for the fiery red colors and was used by Tiffany when he had mines in Utah and used all the Yellow Cat that they could get. Today this Petrified Wood is very hard to get to and find.I was happy to find someone in Tucson who had the permission to search for this on private property. Stories are that collectors wear out tires and ruin vehicles in the search for this wood, most often coming up empty-handed!
