Yellow Cat Petrified Wood is famous for the fiery red colors and was used by Tiffany when he had mines in Utah and used all the Yellow Cat that they could get. This Petrified Wood also is very hard to find today. It is also famous for it's agate inclusions which make it more like a gem grade red agate than the striated and variegated colors of Petrified Wood. I was happy to find someone in Tucson who had the permission to search for this on private property. Stories are that collectors wear out tires and ruin vehicles in the search for this wood, most often coming up empty-handed.
