Something you don't see every day is a Mastadon Tooth Pendant. This is one of those rare things that we stumble across at the Tucson Gem shows. Although I've never been bitten by a Mastadon Tooth and I'm sure you never have been either, I'm sure this tooth ate a lot of foliage back in it's time. Think of the stories you can tell about this pendant! Maybe you are a hobby Mastadon fossil hunter? Maybe you found the mastadon in a peat bog? Or maybe it came from the family farm in Michigan? Did he run into a glacier, or get taken down by a cave man? Or.....
The fossil tooth is simply wrapped and has both tarnish resistant Argentium silver and gold fill wires. This would look great with a precious metal chain or a nice leather cord.
