Victoria Stone is exceedingly scarce and has been since the late 1970's. It is a natural man-made stone developed in Japan. You can read about it in my blog. (Search the Snob Blog for Victoria Stone.) No one has been able to duplicate this gemstone in 35 years. Victoria Stone is Jade-like in hardness. The beauty of the stone is the silky chatoyant sheen that it reflects as it is moved, which is hard to capture in photos. It is similar to a hologram that changes as it moves. Among the several colors that were created, this rare indigo blue seems so moody and deep.
This pendant is a designer cut stone, wrapped in pink and yellow gold, and enhanced with three faceted London Blue Topaz stones. These enhancements add another layer of bling to this shimmery stone. If you like to wear notable jewelry, this will do the trick!
