Originally the color of this Victoria Stone was referred to as Sky Indigo and was one of the more popular colors. I am finding it almost impossible to find any Victoria Stone, especially in this wonderful color. This particular cabochon called me to enhance it with a pink Topaz. An elegant 14/20 rolled gold wrap finishes the piece. The small, tight, star crystal pattern of Victoria stone is indicative of a piece cut from the end of a boule, giving it a radiant deep teal look. Wearing it will make you "Graced with Beauty" just like the stone!

Victoria Stone is a very rare gemstone created by aged scientist Dr. S. Iimori in Japan in the mid 1960's. Secret crystallizers and crystal habit regulators were used to produce this brilliantly chatoyant stone with fan-shaped patterns. Unfortunately Mr. Iimori died in the late 1970's and took the secret of making this jade-like simulant to his grave.
