Few people still alive ever had the chance to hunt for the rare blue Centennial Datolite from the special Keweenaw Peninsula copper mines. This Datolite is smooth blue with speck of copper lightly sprinkled across the left side.  The rich merges into white, and can be seen on the back.  Gold wires enhance this rare gemstone, with wire wraps, creating a unique and lovely smaller pendant.

More info

Are you familiar with the story of Centennial Blue Datolite? Blue Centennial Datolite is impossibly rare now. It was found in the Centennial Copper Mines (#2) north of Calumet decades ago, and is now buried under many feet of water and no longer available, except from old collections. Blue Datolite has always been coveted and popular, but recently has become VERY popular, and hard to find.  This Blue Datolite is light blue with tiny specks of copper adding character and variety.

This is a nice smaller size, with a great turquoise color. The wire work is a beautiful gold fill. Centennial Datolite lovers will be very happy with this rare stone pendant.
