Lake Superior Agate pendants feature banded, tube, sagenite, water level, candy striper stone patterns and are formed into exquisitely wire wrapped pendants using gold, pink gold, and argentium silver wires. The Lake Superior Agate is found in several Midwestern states, especially Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota, where is was selected as the official state gemstone. These agates formed in volcanic rock billions of years old, and often have cracking due to being transported by glaciers over long distances. They can be tricky to find, but are greatly loved by rock collectors due to bright red, orange, white colors. Pink, yellow, green, gray, brown, black are also found, making each stone a surprise.
