This is beautiful bold hand crafted jewelry features a wonderful rare stone in a lovely and unusual color. An extinct gem, this is one of the rare and beautiful colors that Iimori created. This teal Victoria stone is very chatoyant, and merges very pale on one side to dark teal on the other, a lovely combination. A designer shape and elegant wire wrap using both 14/20 gold fill and Argentium wires create this lovely piece. The gold wires are twisted to add interest and texture.

Victoria Stone is a very rare gemstone created by aged scientist Dr. S. Iimori in Japan in the mid 1960's. Secret crystallizers and crystal habit regulators were used to produce this brilliantly chatoyant stone with fan-shaped patterns. Unfortunately Mr. Iimori died in the late 1970's and took the secret of making this jade-like simulant to his grave.
