Canadian Smoke Variscite Pendant

It's not often that a rock will imitate a current event. Imagine my surprise when I cut a piece of Variscite and found it looked just like the graphics our local meteorologists were showing on TV.  Everyone is having difficulty with wildfire smoke coming down from Canada.  This piece of Variscite is three dimensional with a clouds of smoke hovering above the terrain. This is a perfect view from above.

Known as one of America’s most elegant cabochon gemstones, this Variscite comes from a deposit near Fairfield, Utah, the location of the world’s best Variscite.  Here a beautiful bright green stone is entirely wrapped in tarnish-resistant argentium silver square wires, simple at the top and around the stone.  Two twisted wires enhance the gemstone. It could be a unisex pendant.
