A beautiful Turquoise Heart Several years ago I acquired some very excellent Royston (Nevada) Turquoise at the gem show in Quartzsite, AZ. Recently I rediscovered this small piece which looked destined to be a small heart. Royston comes from a region near Tonopah, Nevada, and is valued for it's brown matrix, as seen in the matrix across the center of the robin's egg blue turquoise. The brown inclusions suggested a matching gold fill wire wrap instead of the silver that you usually see as a setting for Turquoise.
Turquoise is an official Birthstone for December, but is appreciated and worn by almost everyone!
