Our Northern Michigan area was settled when lumbermen came in looking for tall pines to cut and sell. They left behind rivers full of logs that got caught in a jam and stayed deep in the water for future generations to canoe over. This agate looks like you are looking down into that river, with logs pointed in every direction.
