A designer-cut and a diagonal wrap make this peanut wood jewelry very distinctive. The earth tones of this stone make it conducive to wearing with just about anything. Gold-filled and argentium wires form the beautiful frame.

Peanut wood is toredo-bored petrified wood. This ancient waterlogged wood sank and was invaded by mollusk larvae prior to being filled with diatomaceous earth and then petrified. The wood is found in northwest Australia near Carnavon. It is called peanut wood due to it's resemblance to peanut brittle.
