Astrophyllite is a very rare titanium ore. This piece was mined in the Kola Peninsula of Russia and includes white, gold and deep brown colors. The name comes from the Greek, astro meaning star and phyllon meaning leaf. The beautiful golden yellow "needles" distinguish this unusual mineral.
