This lovely demure greenstone pendant is remarkable. It began as a 1.6 gram gemstone with top notch soft and silky pattern and is an excellent example of the Isle Royale Greenstone. The stone is very thick and substantial, beautifully wire wrapped in 14/20 gold fill and argentium wires.
An average size for this Michigan State Gemstone is about half the size of a pea, so this is a good size as well as being a real beauty.
The Greenstone gem is found only on Isle Royale National Park and very limited areas of the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, making it a rarity, greatly treasured by folks who love unusual stone jewelry.
