In the fall leaves begin to share their green colors with other colors. This stone has leafy green patches of chatoyance but small bits of color are sneaking in at the edges. The color is more creamy than pink, as if it hasn’t had quite enough time to fully develop. The back is definitely pink, so this is probably a Thomsonite inclusion.
If you enjoy little details on your stones, this is a nice one. It is tall and slim, but still small in stature and wire wrapped in the best gold wires. This stone came from a collection made years ago by someone who spent lots of time on Isle Royale. Today collecting stones on our National Park is not allowed, so this represents an era gone by, in many ways.
