The Michigan greenstones in this pair of earrings came from an old collection actually found on Isle Royale years ago, when it was legal to collect there. They are very good chatoyant pattern, nicely matched. The gemstones are a great size, approximately 7-8mm, on sterling ear posts. Isle Royale Greenstone earrings are a great gift.

The Isle Royale greenstone is the state gem of Michigan, and is found only in a few locations in the Keweenaw Peninsula and on Isle Royale National Park. a bit of pink, a tiny crystal cave and chatoyance make a these a wonderful gift. The earrings have heirloom value as well since this stone is more rare than diamonds!
