Formed in small holes in volcanic basalts, stones have a rounded nodule form and are tricky to remove from the host rock without cracking. A hardness of 5-5.5, it often has broken bits that make an interesting look with a dark point surrounded by radiating pale pink. A rare zeolite, it is now difficult to find and is treasured for unique hand-crafted jewelry.
