Imagine my surprise as I noticed a cabochon that had a complete perfect little Quartz crystal embedded within what was originally a Lodalite Quartz crystal. It was like a little soldier guarding the crystal. Lodalites are included Quartz crystals found in Minas Geriais, Brazil. They can have almost any type of inclusions with Manganese being a common inclusion in them.
This Lodalite also has floating islands of mossy Magnasite as well as the crystal. I can’t recall ever seeing an entire crystal within one before. I have seen “Phantom” crystals present, but this is definitely a real perfect crystal.
This small stunner is simply wrapped in 14/20 rolled gold. How much fun could you have showing people it’s hidden secret? I can imagine the many “Yes I see it” responses when you point the crystal out.
