This is a clearly patterned Petoskey stone, beautifully wrapped in gold and silver. The two tone wrap allows the wearer to choose either a gold or silver chain to wear this jewelry. Where the cut of the stone angles off to the side the elongated pattern resembles the Pussy Willow in spring. The neutral colors of the Petoskey stone allow this versatile slide/pendant to be worn with almost any outfit!
The Petoskey stone is a fossilized variety of an ancient coral, Hexagonaria. The honeycomb pattern makes a distinctive look, and as the official Michigan State Stone this is our most popular jewelry. Petoskey stones are found across the "top of the mitten" on beaches and on gravel roads.
