The Michigan greenstones in this pair of earrings came from a 60 year old collection recently discovered in the Keweenaw Penisula, collected on Isle Royale years ago. Because all stones are different, they are not exact matches, but these greenstones are true natural stones with variation and closely matched in size and color. The speckled gemstones are approximately 7mm, on sterling silver ear posts. These earrings come with easy to handle 5mm sterling backs.

The Isle Royale greenstone is the state gem of Michigan, and is found only in a few locations in the Keweenaw Peninsula and on Isle Royale National Park. Nice speckled patterns make a these a wonderful gift. The earrings have heirloom value as well since this stone is more rare than diamonds!
