More info
Smelters in the Copper District were made of brick back in the day. Over a period of time the brick was permiated with Copper Vapors and Molten Copper. The copper replaced all the material in the bricks except the Silica. The results is copper with little spots of white Quartz within. This firebrick pendant has a designer cut and a fine wrap in Gold and Pink Gold. A truly historic piece from the Keweenaw. I seal my firebrick, to provide a long lasting finish for a lifetime of use.
