The Petoskey stone is the state stone of Michigan. The characteristic pattern is a hexagonal shape (hence the name hexagonaria), but the color may vary from a light cream color to a dark brown, with occasional pink, blue or yellow shades. This pretty tan Petoskey stone has nice light lines and is beautifully wrapped in gold fill wires making a very desirable pendant or slide.
