Michigan stones are featured in this necklace of 8 and 10mm Petoskey and Epidote stones enhanced by large corrugated 14/20 gold fill golden beads and closed with a lobster clasp. The soft green of the Epidote blends well with the subdued Petoskey Stone color, a lovely earth-toned combination richly punctuated by the gold.
The Petoskey Stone is the state stone of Michigan. A coral fossil from the Devonian period, it is found on beaches around the Great Lakes, primarily in the northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
