This stone was a surprise, cut from a chunk of rough Larimar of unknown quality which turned out to be a very remarkable gemmy pale blue Larimar stone. Wrapped in 14/20 gold fill and argentium silver wires, with an elegant design and tight, precise wire work, this pendant is a stunner. How could such a pretty piece erupt out of ugly Volcanic basalt? Larimar comes only from the Dominican Republic. A friend described it as looking like the "ocean rolling up on the beach".
